Psychologist
I was born in Bogotá. When I was 14 I moved to Spain with my family. I’m graduated in Psychology at the University of Seville. From a young age, I’m interested in neurodiversity and functional diversity. I worked as a volunteer in the ‘Asociación de Padres de Personas con Autismo (Autismo Sevilla)’, where I became a cognitive-behavioural therapist for children and adolescents with autism. I moved to Barcelona in 2010. From 2012 I collaborate with the ‘Centro de Orientación y Asistencia al Desarrollo Integral (COADI), where I’m part of the diagnosis team, and I coordinate the interventional team responsible for give support to people with divergent development paths and to their families.
I’m specialised in:
Neuro-development disorders and quality of life for people with intellectual disability.
Interventional global models focused on the family empowerment for neuro-development disorders, suchas: Denver Model (ESDM), Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTS) o Hanen (I it takes two to talk and More Than Words).
Evaluation of the functional communicative abilities and the implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communicative System (SAAC).
Evaluation and diagnosis of neurodevelopment ADI-R (semi-structured interview for the autism diagnosis) and ADOS-2 (structured observation for the autism diagnosis- offered by Catherine Lord, Barcelona 2013) and A-ADOS (structured observation for the autism diagnosis adapted to adolescents and non-verbal adults – San Francisco University, UCSF, California 2017).
